Mr. Hector Morales (SGM R) is retiring soon with 60 years of Federal service. His friends at USARC commissioned this cartoon for the Korean and Vietnam Wars veteran.
I'm reposting Sunday Ride. The piece won a Merit Award at the recent Best of West Virginia Exhibit at Tamarack. It was also selected for the 2013 Best of WV calendar. It's one of my favorite pieces and I just ordered some prints. Five same size and 20 half size.
Cartoon done for the "Double Eagle". In July, 52 of the Army Reserve's best Soldiers will compete at Fort McCoy, WI, to be named the Best Warrior. The winner and runner up will train more and then compete at the Department of the Army.

This is one of a series I did in Iraq in 2007 while on a USARC PAO mission with LTC Bill "Wild Bill" Nutter. It has been included on page 237 (epilogue) of "Armed with Abundance" (Consumerism & Soldiering in the Vietnam War, by Meredith H. Lair. It appears in grey scale in the book.
